AEROCOM hindcast emissions Explanatory note 12/09/2008 MS Two ways to access the data: 1) The AEROCOM_HC emissions are accessible via the http://www-lscedods.cea.fr/aerocom/AEROCOM_HC/ 2) Or on the aerocom server idefix2.saclay.cea.fr go to the directory /home/aerocom1/AEROCOM_EMISSIONS where also additional emission datasets are located, if alternative scenarios shall be constructed. To access the aerocom server ask for an account for the server to jan.griesfeller@lsce.ipsl.fr The data sets in the AEROCOM_HC and AEROCOM_EMISSIONS directory are a preliminary compilation of emissions dedicated to help hindcast simulation of the aerosol. These concern especially the period 1980-present day. The files in AEROCOM_HC are the most coherent dataset and can be used to construct necessary emissions for an aerosol hindcast run. Additional directories under AEROCOM_EMISSIONS refer to alternative emission scenarios for exploratory use. Important note! The emissions shall in autumn 2008 be superseded by an IPCC emission inventory, be aware! General contact: Jean-Francois Lamarque lamar@ucar.edu The overall documentation of the AeroCom hindcast emission compilation is not yet finalized! Please look out for further documentation coming in later in 2008, primary contact Thomas Diehl. Users of these data are requested to contact the authors below before publishing results ! See further readme files in the different directories. Aknowledgement goes to the main contributing authors!
